Thread: V: The Second Generation

  1. V: The Second Generation

Anyone remember the sci-fi tv mini-series V? It was a pretty kickass tv movie about aliens coming to earth looking like us, but then were unmasked to be hostile lizard type aliens who wanted the earth's resources as well as humans for food.. yummm.

Anyways..looks like Kenneth Johnson who did the original series (as well as the Alien Nation series) will do a new series if the project is green lighted by NBC. Sounds good to me.. I loved the mini-series, thought the weekly TV series that was made afterward (V: The Series) was pretty lacking.

    Any fans of V?

  2. I remember the show, but vaguely...

  3. Heh, yeah.. I used to watch it. I liked it back then, but it's kinda funny seeing the reruns and noting how corny some of the episodes were. Corny in a good way, though, I think. But yeah, hopefully it'll be alot better this time. I'd check it out.

  4. I've seen it a very long time ago(or was it V movie?), so I remember it very vaguely. Still, I might watch it, if its good.

  5. The TV movies rocked, but the series sucked ass (still, it DID have a young Freddy Krueger, so...). Still, I'm interested in what they might try to do with a new series...

  7. From IMDB:
Kenneth Johnson, who created the original series, told the trade paper that the new story takes place twenty years after the original series left off, when aliens now control much of the earth. The network suggested that if the ratings for the TV movie are high enough, it could greenlight "future sequels."

    Awesome.

We got a small glimpse of this in the old stuff, but the aliens were still getting established.
