Jeremy, these guys are spot on with their criticisms. Ignore the rude shit, but read "between the lines" here man.
Thats basically it, Jeremy. You're being a baby when you say that you don't wanna take the criticism because it's delivered in a not-so-nice fashion.

This is the Internet. People can pretty much do whatever they want without any sort of real consequences. This kind of a reaction is gonna happen. Take it with a grain of salt, and realize that the Internet makes people mean. Meaner than they really are.

But above all else, realize that what they're saying is inherently right. Realize it, and freaking listen to what they're saying already. I know you won't, but I always think I have a better way of telling you the same thing so that you may finally just take heed of all the advice given to you. Prove me right for once. Please.
Well that's like, your opinion, man.

Your words fall upon deaf ears, or in this case, blind eyes! No pun intended.

Going back a year or so ago, I had tried to help you out many times in your reviews. I outlined portions that needed work and gave you basic tips for improving your writing. I remember MVS doing the same thing. You brushed us off since you thought we didn't understand what was obviously your literary masterwork.

You're a fool to think that either of us would still be so patient with you after you've ignored all of the effort we had put into helping you improve.

In any event, negative criticism from two people does not suddenly make it so that the unanimous criticism you're receiving from dozens of other people doesn't exist. You're copping out because you know you are so talentless at this that you don't even have the ability to understand the advice given to you so that you could improve your terrible writing.

  4. Man, this is turning into a joke. You've received more helpful criticism here than any single one of us has in the critics thread in SO. Put some of it to use. Take Sleeve's challenge/advice here. Elements of Style is nice little book, and it'd help you tons, honestly.

PS: This is constructive feedback. Everyone's said it, and Scourge did so quite well.

It's going to be ignored. Don't even bother.

He's going to come back with how he has changed his review style, or how he intends to, or how he's waiting to hear back from his doctor before he can do it. There's seriously no point in bothering. If someone with Down's Syndrome and a basketball thinks he's Michael Jordan, then there's very little reason to try and convince him otherwise, so just let the retard have his ball.

  6. Do you realize that you guys spent 6 pages convincing Jeremy of nothing.

  7. They've spent many pages before that doing the same thing.
    1. I appreciate most of the folks who have taken the time out to offer me advice on my reviews.
    2. Just because I don't USE the advice doesn't mean I don't think about using it. I usually just can't think of how, or where in the piece, to use it.

My super-huge post in Sleeveboy's thread (yes, a post by me OVER one word, I'm as shocked as you are) sums up everything else. As I've said to a few folks via IMs/PMs, I'm not happy with this review as it is since I still left quite a few things out of it. I'll be re-writing it somewhere down the line, probably during the week.

We're not exactly chomping at the bit for you to do any review, but you do them anyway.
