Thread: Edge magazine scores

  1. Edge magazine scores

    Enter the Matrix (Multi-PS2 tested) - 3/10
    Brute Force (Xbox) - 5/10
    Planetside (PC) - 8/10
Rise of Nations (PC) - 7/10
    Indycar series (Multi-PS2 tested) - 8/10
Lost Kingdoms II (GC) - 4/10
Return to castle Wolfenstein (Xbox) - 6/10
Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow (GBA) - 7/10
    Wakeboarding unleashed (PS2/Xbox) - 5/10
Crazy Taxi: Carch a ride (GBA) - 2/10
Lufia: The ruins of Lore (GBA) - 7/10
    MotoGP3 (PS2) - 6/10
    Speed Kings (PS2) - 6/10
    SOCOM: US Navy seals (PS2) - 5/10
    Midnight Club II (PS2 tested/Xbox/PC) - 5/10

  2. Wow. Outside of the SOCOM score (Why are they reviewing this again?) I pretty much agree with all of them. I would just lower Planetscape a little and give Midnight Club II a 3.

    What is Edge magazine again?
    Play Guitar Hero //

I'd keep Planetside where it is. Except the only way to enjoy the damn thing is if you have a really good computer.

If they reviewed it in the past, it would have been a review of the US NTSC version of the game they were doing. The PAL version of the game hasn't been released yet, but will be soon. Based on that, I'd say this second review was of the PAL version (which is almost certain to be at least somewhat different to the US NTSC version).

  6. The Edge is the last great video game magazine around as far as I'm concerned. They do have international subs but it's expensive.

  7. I have a big problem with slapping one score accross multiple console ports of a game, but for the most part those scores look about right.

  8. Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow (GBA) - 7/10
I'd wonder if this was because of a shitty PAL conversion, but it's the GBA...

Agreed, it's like the Next Generation we used to know and love. International subscriptions are in the $100+ range just in case anyone was wondering, because I've looked into it. Unfortunately I can't justify spending that much on a magazine subscription.

Next Gen was Edge's sister magazine, so it's not surprising that they're somewhat similar.
