  2. I just remembered another SH3 moment...the part when Heather goes into the room with the manequins, and you stop and look at the one manequin in the corner...you then walk around the shelf, hear a LOUD scream (that made me jump), a thud, you run back and find the manequin decapitated with blood running down the plastic neck...creepy.

  3. The first Silent Hill had one and only one scene that positively startled me... that sequence in the School locker room. The locker opens up with such a loud bang! And the fear of what was inside there... scared the hell out of me

  4. Man, the first time playing Silent Hill was the best, because you just hadn't played a game like that before. I was with some friends when I first got to the school, and I walked out into the courtyard. Suddenly you hear all of these freaky noises and whatnot, and my friends and I just sort of look at each other. I turn right around, and go back through the doors back into the school, and was like, "f**k that..."

  5. I've done shit like that before, be talking to some of my friends and go through a door in the first Silent Hill. By the time I turn around there are like three knife-weilding nurses bearing down on Harry's ass, my first reaction is of course to scream like a girl and drop the controller. Man, I think I lost a lot of my friends' respect that night.
    Time for a change

  6. The first time I ever played silent hill, was after school in a flash blizzard.

And as far as this fatal frame, Silent Hill Argument. I haven't seen any friggin movie even remotely as scary as that Silent Hill 4 trailer, if you haven't seen it go to www.gametraiilers.com and watch. Fatal frame is cool for a visceral scare, but its no scarier than the first resident evil.

Amen. The series remains scary and disturbing, but there's nothing like when I experienced it for the first time.

Yes, I remember that! I also remember that I did the same thing you did and retreated right back inside.

your link had an extra "i" in it. i fixed that for ya so i just watched the "jizzim inducing" 9 minute trailer.......where was the scary stuff again? it was 9 minutes of the most cliched, right out of college director "scary movie" crap.

anyway.....i started playing thru SH2 again last night. i originally played it on the xbox where you can turn off the filters and blurring.....i cant believe how bad it looks on the ps2. im just glad you can turn the stuff off in SH3 for the ps2.....i simply cannot play it with the "noise" turned on.

and it looks like i was right about that original t-shirt design. it was somebody coming out of the wall.

Because every college director I know films two baby heads wearing a cloak walking on monkey legs.

I think I've heard a lot of descriptions about silent hill, and a lot about this trailer, some even negative came with no argument from me.

    But cliched?

Either your privy to thousands of horror movies none of us have ever scene, or your nuts.

Describe to me what wouldn't be cliched.

  10. describe to me what was scary and we'll go from there. i would have liked to see some actual in-game stuff considering it WAS 9 minutes.

it didnt impress me because theres so many times i can see "wiggling" creatures and the overused house on haunted hill "wiggle, disappear and go in and out of focus" techniques. if you like it thats fine but i failed to be impressed. like i said, i would have liked to see something that relates to the game.
