Thread: GunCon2 issue

  1. GunCon2 issue

I tried searching the boards and didn't find a problem like this. I have a 27" Sony Trinitron TV, about 3.5 yrs old. Just picked up Time Crisis 2 and a GunCon2 last night and was calibrating the gun when I noticed that the cursor onscreen would disappear when I pointed the gun anywhere in a 1" x 5" tall vertical rectangle on the bottom left of the screen. I tried adjusting the screen to the left a bit using the in-game menu to see if that helped, but it didn't. I'm using an S-Video connection from my PS2 and have the GunCon2 hooked up to the composite video out on the back of my TV. Calibration is perfect anywhere else on the screen.

Anyone seen this? I'm thinking about calling Namco.

Check here and see, I think some of Sony TV's are incompatible...

If your's is fine according to the list, try contacting Namco and see...

Well, you're not in Mexico, so I'll rule out the Virgin de Guadalupe appearing in the lower left corner of your screen. She must be back to old Guillermo's bowl of refried beans.

DO NOT MODIFY THE GUNCON2. IF THE GUNCON2 IS MISTAKEN FOR A REAL WEAPON YOU COULD BE HURT.

NO OFFICER! DON'T SHOOT! I WAS KILLING TERRORISTS ON MY TV! WHY OH WHY DID I MODIFY MY GUNCON2? NAMCO WARNED ME BUT I DIDN'T LISTEN!

On another note, my TV doesn't appear on the very short tested TV list. Soooo...bad GunCon2 maybe? I'll have to test more tonight when I go home.

Hm...so you can have your PS2 connected via S-Video and still get the Guncon working?

Ayup, as long as your TV has composite out on the back. Then everything is honky-dory.
