Thread: Robbery victim runs over perps with his Hummer

  1. Well, in this case peter went overboard, but I think its perfectly fine to hurt people who are trying to rob you.

reminds me of something I heard a while back. Around 5 robbers entered this families house, so the dad pulled out his Katana and attacked them. One of them died and the others were severely injured. He was arrested, but I think he got off in the end.

Personally, I would have done the same thing.

Having benn on the victim side of a robbery before, I can totaly understand what that guy did.

Well, they robbed the place, its not like they just strolled in and said "Please give us some money" there had to at least be the threat of violence.

  3. Then he got in his car and hunted them down. He's just as guilty as they are. The danger was no longer clear and present, and thus he had no legal right to do them bodily harm.

Actually, if you had read the article, you'd know that the H2 had hit 4 vehicles in a row, not just the Dodge Ram. I think it looks pretty good, considering.

The story of the wreck is actually pretty crazy. read it here
Wow, that's a messed up story. That path of carnage the H2 caused sounded like an old episode of CHIPS. I'd love to know what actually happened to the driver that caused him to go haywaire like that. I mean, he sat through the green light and then ran the red and just kept going and going until the H2 was totaled. Wacked.

You can't wait for someone to use force against you to be justified to use it against them in a robbery situation. If he's on your property, I say shoot first and ask questions later. Worry less about his feelings than your own safety. I would even say that it extends to someone stealing or vandalizing your car(which is technically outside your home). Peter should get a medal for actually doing what 90% of us wished they could do in a situation like this.
EXACTLY; if more people defended themselves and took the law into there own hands when they have been robbed etc. then less people would feel inclined to take advantage of the weak.

In America these days people will stand by and watch someone get robbed, mugged, or murdered and not do shit in fear they might be legally held accountable.

We have let thieves and criminals take control of us and lock us up in our homes, its time to take our freedom and security back..

The fact that these robbers in the other stories (and ive heard local stories much the same) are able to sue and in some cases win is fucking absurd.

Since when has defending your family inside your own home a crime?

America has lost all levels of common sense and the judicial system is a misused and abused joke.

    I appluad this guy...

Last year a drunk guy came into my yard, a yard that is fenced in with no trespassing signs clearly visible on all sides and the gate was closed and had went through my wife's car and was starting to go through our garage.

I appproached him and asked him what he was doing and told him that if he didnt leave he would go to jail; after talking to him for about 5 minutes I got him to leave peacefully but you better believe that if this tactic failed I was prepared to beat his ass six ways to Sunday and not even blink about doing it.

  6. If you are in a situation where your life is threatened, you don't know how you'd react.

These men were armed, they put him a situation. He did something that the cops wouldn't have probably done in the situation. He tracked them down.

I don't believe in violence, even when its neccesary the idea of it pisses me off. But I know that if my life had recently been threatened and i had the perfect chance for revenge right in front of me, as a human being, I'd say yes.

Indeed, more people need to stand up for themselves..
