The GF left it here last night, so maybe I'll play it when I get home from work. However, Chux just modded his Xbox, so I'll probably be playing old Arcade games with him instead.
My copy is still on its way to me, so I'm hoping I will get it tomorrow.
Now, this one uses the analog sticks, right? So would this be the first Tomb Raider to be better on the consoles than on the PC? I guess the PC has some analog controllers, too, but I never looked into it much.
Any opinions?
HA! HA! I AM USING THE INTERNET!!1

Yes, it uses the analog sticks. Left stick controls your movement (shocking, I know) and the right stick controls the camera. Having full control of the camera 95% of the time is indeed a welcome addition to the game, but there are a few instances where the camera angle is locked. Using the left analog stick to move took a little getting used to, and I don't think it's as fluid as it could be. I played most of the previous games on the PC, and I don't see any reason why this would be tough to play with a keyboard (and the mouse for camera movements). I hope future installments make (edit: better) use of analog control though.
Wait, so it uses the analog stick but not analog movement? Erm...Originally posted by NoFace

does anyone else find it funny how all of these people bought said game for their GF/Wives but their GF/Wives arent the ones playing it, they are......
I got AOD along with Mace Griffin I havent played too much as I have been playing Mace. The controls are a bit strange at first as they seem to be a strange mix of straight 3d analog movement and the traditional TR controls. The slowdown occurs pretty much in similar places to the xbox version of Sons of Liberty so its not too bad. Something I have found that I like is when you meet certain people and talk to them it give you several different options as to what to say. This will supposedly affect the games ending but we'll see.
Err, my mistake. The movement is analog but it's not very well implemented... it's so jerky you'd think it was digital disguising itself as analog. Time to edit my post.Originally posted by MechDeus
