Holy crap! Treasure developed Wario World??

And if that 3d collaberation you're talking about is Sin And Punishment, then not many others have played it, barring those who visit message board sites, and we're just a tiny tiny number in the world of gaming.

Same goes for the number of people who know about Stretch Panic. Do you think that it sold much better just because it was released overseas? That game did horribly and isn't well known at all. I personally have yet to meet a single person that doesn't frequent message boards that's even heard of SP, let alone played it.

Stretch Panic is more well known, and it's the worst 3d game on a next-gen system.

Sure, if you don't count games like Wolverine's Revenge, Tao Feng, Kakuto Chojin, BMX XXX, Whacked, or any of the many other games that are such utter crap so as to make Stretch Panic seem like a AAA title.

I was just going to say something similar but I was gonna take a dig at just about every 3DO title on any current system. At least Stretch Panic was an impressive tech demo which 3D0 can't even claim.

I've met enough people who bought it. I worked at Best Buy when it was ten bucks, and people always picked it up because it was only ten. We sold out of those copies in about 3 days. That's just my one store in my area, but I'd imagine alot of people bought it because it was cheap, cause well, that's what people do. "It's only ten bucks, might as well try it!!"

And all those other games you mentioned at least have SOME redeeming qualities. I've yet to find one in stretch panic, unless you count the fact you can twist a big pair of boobs. But the boobs are so ugly it dosen't matter.

I'm calling you out on that, because those games are trash, through and through.

I don't care about the boobs but I think the bosses are sweet as hell. I personally think that if Linda moved with the speed and grace of something like Epsilon from Alien Soldier then SP would've been a great game, but she didn't and it slowed the game down too much.

The only problem here was that gutsman started the thread openly and blatantly admitting that he had no interest in Wario World until he learned treasure developed it, which, unbeknownst to him, accurately depicts the "stereotypical treasure fanboy"..

cue in the "treasure is overrated" and the "it's cool to hate treasure" crowd along with anyone else who feels like taking a flame shot at the n00b's mistake..

then the sensible treasure fans come in to try to restore order and cool everything down while trying to preserve some of treasure's dignity..

wait, this has happened before, hasn't it??

oh, that's right... in about every other Treasure-related thread in TNL.

I was excited about Wario World from the moment it was announced, and only excited more by Treasure's involvement.

I have yet to read a good (meaning compotent, not positive) review of Wario World, so I'm witholding judgement since everything about it appeals to me.
