Thank you Namco for deciding to port this to the PS2. Even if I was willing to buy a GC, I would have to pack up my DC to hook it up and that would be too sad for words.

The PS2 version looks really sucky. Maybe not price of a gamecube sucky, but Grandia II PS2 sucky at least.

Grandia 2 was sucky no matter what console it was played on, so I'm a little confused by your comment.
I think it will be better than skipping the game entirely, which I would have to do, outside of a PC version getting announced.

Sure, the battle system was streamlined compared to the original's, but I thought it was pretty solid...Grandia 2 was sucky no matter what console it was played on, so I'm a little confused by your comment.
