Starting was the best fun for me. You learn at such an incredible pace compared to later.

It's got a really fat ass but it's got a fat, warm sound too, especially through a 25 year old tube amp. Distorted it sounds like a freight train or a meat grinder grinding nuts and bolts or something; very thick and crunchy. Clean, it's clear as a bell, still warm and gives good sustain. It's a semi-hollow body which I think helps those warm tones along. Pickups: 2 humbuckers.
My acoustic is a 30 year-old Alvarez that is a real beaut soundwise. Best sounding acoustic I've ever played. Hardest acoustic I've ever played, though. My dad bought it when I was about 5 and gave it to me when I was 17 or 18. I'd have to take my own pic of it, since I don't know the model number to try to find anything about it online. I don't have a camera though. My dad had an internal mic installed for amp hookup.

and in the All-American Rejects Video, the guitarist is playing a Custon White Gibson Firebird with Gold Hardware....oh so sexy

Bumping this because I just remembered I actually have something to post from the pictures thread.
Anyways, it's a Fender Strat, if it's not obvious already I'm a left-handed freak, and it seriously sucks getting stuck paying $50-$100 extra bucks for ANY guitar just about, not to mention we get nowhere near the selection you rightys do. The Strat is not all that good of a guitar (only 21 frets, stock pickups are meh, and the tuners are unreliable), but I've learned everything I know on it, it's my baby. The things got a ton of battlescars, the biggest of which is (you can't tell in the picture) the headstock snapped completely in half, it is bound with industrial strength wood glue.

I have the same guitar as above in the same color, only without the left-handed-freankness.
I thought you were gay.... i guess not.
hehe, when I find my digital camera, I'll show you what a left handed freak really is![]()
Some pictures of other guitars. Bear in mind that everything useful is up at my studio right now.
These kinda suck.
First off is the Danelectro U something or other.
I got this cause I wanted a guitar to fool around on at home. Same deal with the amp. Its not a bad guitar... I just could never imagine playing live on it.
This is one of my favorite guitars... its a "Harmony Stratotone". Yeah, I've never heard of it either.
Its old, it sounds like crap, the electronics are tempermental, and its currently unplayable (look Ma, no bridge!).
However, I have never seen another one, anywhere, ever... so that makes it kind of special, or something.
I have a matching Stratotone amp that sounds much like a vacume cleaner, but I'm not sure where it is anymore.
