Boo fucking hoo. There is too much hostility everywhere.

    Get used to it.

  2. You know, Jeremy, I have to admit, part of the reason I had yet to finish The Jemery Incident epic was because I lacked anymore fresh material.

So...thanks for providing me some more!

But, seriously, glad to hear your doing better man. There was a time in the past you'd gotten on my nerves once in awhile, but for the most part you are a great member of the TNL community, and you've made some pretty awesome contributions to the reviews board. Keep up the good work
    omg TNL epics!

  3. It sure seems like the people that supposedly don't give a shit about this community are the ones most active in it. Not to mention they are they are the ones I most often see scaring off newbies, acting like assholes, and adding nothing of worthwhile value to the scene (ick ).

I mean, if you don't have anything positive to say, keep all your posts in fightclub. That way people who want civil, mature conversation don't have to worry about seeing said person(s) drivel. I personally think the forum as a whole would be quite a bit better if the non-fc boards were moderated a lot more.

I understand having some cynical remarks and such, that's fine. But the fact that there is this huge group of people that single out a few of the different board members and pick on them (over-and-over-and-over) is so childish.

Hell, you're posting on a videogame messageboard, odds are you were made fun of as a kid, hell, chances are many people you see everyday irl still feel that you're a geek/nerd/whatever. The fact that we have people bullying around other people in our own little demographic is pretty fucking sad.

But hey, it's just a pointless videogame forum right? What does it matter if people act like assholes when they post on it? Well, if it doesn't matter at all, why are you taking the time to post...

This has nothing really to do with Jeremy, but just the community actions as a whole. This rant was brought to you by the number 6.

  4. Well he has that well padded post count for good defense too.

Good to hear Jeremy, I have nothing against you at all, and in response to something you said a long time ago.

Do you enjoy always taking the fun out of other people's posts?
    Sometimes.

I think I may end up getting eye surgery one day as well, since I don't like glasses (Because I bend them and shit) and I can't stand to touch my eye. This makes for decent reassurance.

  5. that's part of the risk he takes when he posts one of his attention-clamoring threads.
Um, what? I've made a whopping four threads that I can recall in the past few months, and three were gaming-related. When I made this thread, I figured that at least one of a few folks would try and turn it into something it wasn't intended to be, which is why I put in that little comment after my game reviewing success part.
Anyways, I'd like to thank everyone who posted in this thread and had well-wishes to give, or thanks to give, or anything along those lines. My best wishes go out to all of you and yours.

  6. I wish to apologize to Jeremy for all the losers on this board and their "internet testicles".

  8. Fighter X and Nemo I agree, this board has turned rather hostile.

    Too many bitch ass punks...

  9. This board is around for dissent. Therefore, while I will support any "Please die" comments being moved to FC, I will not support this desire to squelch any negativity whatsoever. MVS or omfgninjas have as much of a right to say something bad about Jeremy, as long as it is kept civil, as JMET or Melf or anyone else does to say "wow, great, good job. i love you."

Jeremy has brought all of this upon himself, as anyone who has paid attention will know. And after a year of using his impending blindness as both a shield and a security blanket, anyone who expects that people aren't tired of it and won't express it is ignorant, and it is their right to do so, as long as it is done in a civil matter.

However, when someone makes a thread that is personal, neither they nor anyone else should be shocked if they recieve feedback of a personal manner, both positive and negative. If I make a thread about my new haircut, and post a picture of it and it looks like shit, I shouldn't be expecting that no one will say "your haircut is shitty." Jeremy opened the door this time, MVS just walked in. He didn't kick it down.

  10. It's not like Jeremy's perfect though. Anytime he gets the chance to flame someone else, he'll do it. Hell, he flamed me when I first joined the boards.

They attempt to fill that void by trying to bring others down, and if they succeed, their ego is stroked for a bit, and if they fail, they hide behind a facade of toughness, which is alarmingly easy to have via text.
I'm starting to worry about you and your undying obsession with this Matthew Good character. Why don't you just start a cult or something and be done with it. His music isn't even that good, yet you're going to take everything he says as gospel?
