Thread: Dreamcast games I missed.

  1. Re: Dreamcast games I missed.

It's sad I actually own all of these...

Illbleed - Never played though, sorry.

Blue Stinger - A poor man's RE with a piss poor camera. You can get it for like 4-5 bucks though, so might as well try it.

Mr. Driller - One of the best puzzlers made. Mr. Driller is good, I suggest you start tracking it down now.

Power Stone 2 - It's fun, but Capcom actually added TOO much stuff. Too many cooks spoil the soup, and it's true here, and Power Stone comes off as the better game. 2 is still good, but 1 is the best.

E.G.G. - A zelda like clone EB used to sell alot for 5 dollars. I never played it, but my Mom did, and it looked enjoyable for it's price.

Record of Lodoss War - A good diablo clone. It has it's problems, but the weapon crafting is pretty deep, and it's a fun little romp. Nothing THAT wrong with it to stop me from recommending it.

Cannon Spike - It's an awesome shooter if only because it features Capcom characters like Nash and Arthur. But it's insanely short, and imo, it gets old pretty fast. It's still something that's worth owning, however.

Fur Fighters - Good, but very long, and I never finished it.

  2. Ok, Here is my take:

Illbleed - Pretty cool and weird survival horror game. While not as good or scary as RE or SH, it has its moments, and have to be played for its more campy moments.

Blue Stinger - Well, I started it but never finished. It wasnt that great, but if you see it for $5.....

Mr. Driller - Havent played it. Not my style of game.

Power Stone 2 - While many hate it, I found its chaotic fighting to be very fun, in SSBM way. Cool moving stages that always keep you on your toes, even more weapons to use. Fun game. Get it if you have a chance.

    E.G.G. - Dont care.

Record of Lodoss War - As was said before, good Diablo clone Fun game, with alot of exploration, weapons and armors and monsters to find and kill. Decent graphics too.

Cannon Spike - Fun adn somewhat bizzare shooter. Cool to see some of older Capcom characters to come back and kick ass. Very challenging, at least to me. But fun.

    Fur Fighters - Havent played.

  3. Re: Dreamcast games I missed.

Power Stone 2 - A good party game, at expense of the "fighting game" feel of the first one.

E.G.G. - Seemed decent, and enjoyable for what you'll be able to find it for. Don't pay more than 12 bucks.

Record of Lodoss War - CLANG CLANG CLANG! Essentially a Diablo 1/2 clone, but not quite as good.

Cannon Spike - Good stuff. Worth the price of admission and the multiplayer modes are fun.

For the most part I consider my Dreamcast collection "complete", and none of the other games you listed seemed worth my time.

  6. Fur Fighters might actually be the 2nd best game on that list. Mr Driller is #1. Get both. Cannon Spike would have been awesome if it weren't for the shit control.

  7. I'd just like to say that Power Stone kicks the crap outta 2, and Cannon Spike is fun stuff.

  8. I liked Blue Stinger (import). Of course, there was almost nothing else to play at the time on DC other than VF3tb (I didn't consider July to be a game). Nice textures, cool monster designs, and funny dialogue.

Cannon Spike is solid arcade fun.

Record of Lodoss War: I really wanted to like this, but didn't. You might if you're into inventory management and Diablo-esque fighting.
    "Fiends! Animals! Bastards!"

  9. Get Cannon Spike. I love that game.

  10. The item shop & adventure mode in Power Stone 2 makes it good for single players too. Pick it up.
