It's not scary, but it's not meant to be. I wouldn't compare it to either of those games in terms of play, but it would be closer to DMC because of the freedom of movement (IE. not a tank).

I'm quite enjoying the game so far, and I don't see any reason it would stop. It's not a AAA game, but it's a fun way to spend a few hours.

If I hated the original Dino Crisis games, would I like this?

I'd definitely give it a rental first if you weren't keen on the previous ones.

Basically, I hate resident evil... and Dino Crisis was pretty much RE. If this has anything to do with that I won't even waste the money on the rental.

The only way this is related to RE is in some of the puzzles. The play mechanics are totaly different. Much more open environments, unlimited ammo (on the machine gun), and some pretty cool side weapons.

Yeah, but DMC is also crap. Crap + unlimited ammo = crap

So basically, everything = 0 when added to crap, unless it's something like "money coming out of the memory card slot"
