Funny how a new Metal Slug arcade comes out peeps are moaning that they should nip the series in the bud, but everyones all for a GBA Slug game which isn't going to be half as impressive (Grafix at least) as the PCB.

I think it looks like a horrible version. Part of the appeal of MS is the attention to detail in both gamemechs and art. This downsizes both.
Yeah the NGPocket versions were fun, but it wasent Metal Slug. I think this will hit that button.
And isn't that all that matters?Originally Posted by §eraphim

I dig how it looks, and can't wait to give it a whirl on my GB Player.

The NGPC Metal Slugs were fun, albeit somewhat different from the Neo-Geo ones. Metal Slug Advance looks closer in spirit to the Neo-Geo games in that screenshots, excluding the life bar. I don't think anyone expected this to contain the amount of detail as the regular titles, no.
The GBA is still lacking a top notch platform-shooter game, I'm hoping this picks up the slack. I have a feeling this'll look better on a GBA SP as opposed to a GB Player, since on the latter it'd look more deficient compared to the Neo-Geo games when played on TV.
I love both the NGPC and the arcade style Slugs, but I must admit that I have a slight preference for the NGPC versions. They are a bit different, but it was a refreshing variation. Any resemblence of the NGPC games would be welcome by me. Like Wily said, however, the screens look more similar to the Neo*Geo anyway.
As far as I am concerned it's all good.![]()
