Thread: Metal Slug Cyber Mission

  1. That looks really, really good. Thanks for the link.

    JM

  2. Me = buying this game. Now playmore just has to sit back and wait for the profits to come in. I told ya they should have focused on GBA games since that's naturally where the userbase is and all the 2d people pretty much own the thing lapping up anything worthy. Anti GBA people will have to go out and buy one now.

  3. I hate to be Mr. Negative, but I doubt they will be raking in the profits from this game. Not to say the game won't rule...but I just don't see the big $$$s

  4. You think? I already know a few friends who are interested in getting a GBA SP upon hearing there will be a metal slug of some sort on the system.

They love all the old snes ports but wouldn't fork out full price for old games. Essentially they are holding back on gba because of the shovelware but certain key titles make it worth it. If you look at action platformers like castlevania for example, it did well enough for konami to continue the whole series again. (already there are 3 gba games)

It's the shovelware that scares people not the key titles. Playmore can only benefit. People are forced to go to gba for 2d games (apart from neo which doesn't count) because they wouldn't purchase them on a home console since psycologically they expect more from the home systems.

It would be a shame if the game was ignored as the gba needs titles like that.

  5. That's some insane graphics for a GBA title. You could fool someone into thinking that was a NeoGeo game from the stills.

  6. awesome..
i just hope it doesn't slow down like a motherf in heated situations.

  7. EGM ran a little screen shot of this game as well this month. I hope it ends up getting some decent coverage. Looks like it might...

  8. Mega Drive

GBA + Metal Slug = TEH SHIZNIT!

I feel like playing Metal SLug X now, there's nothing like shooting mummies with that overpowered shotty.
Quick zephyrs blow, vexing daft Jim.

  9. Yeah the only thing I'll be worried about is slowdown. Hopefully the gba will be able to handle lots of activity onscreen at once.

Flicker, slowdown, choppy animation, poor sound...so much can go wrong.

  10. Release date set to 22 July, same day as Strikers collection and Gradius 5, best summer ever.
