Well, the stick is pretty nice, but it's not like you get analog shooting; you're still limited to 8 directions, and it's pretty easy to move the stick between directions, sometimes shooting down-left when you mean to shoot left. So I really don't think the control is all that much better. I kinda prefer using the C-buttons (and I see from the FAQ that CJayC agrees...)

Plus, since the gameplay is, IMO, pretty on par for both, add in the much enhanced (I'm talking original SMB to SM All-Stars here) graphics, plus less slowdown, and the DC version comes out as the better of the two. Except for the removal of the store... I like the shot upgrades a lot.

BTW, I finally beat Bangai-O (I dug it out of the pile o'shame since I bought the N64 rev). The ending goes by so fast you can barely read the full-screen text. On top of that, it makes little to no sense anyway. And, if you think Black Riki is hard, just wait until Gai... BWAHAHAHAHA!

It's cool & all if you want to bring back an old thread if you have something interesting to contribute but this one was just weak. All Doc said is that he agrees with several people in this 2 & a half year old thread.

Either you don't own Baangai-o, or you never played it with the analog and digital sticks combined. I started playing the game using the 4 buttons, and quickly became frustrated. I then discovered that I could aim my shots rapidly with the control pad. A much better way to play the game. Hugs my 3 copies of Bangai-o!

Or you could play in ABXY mode, which is much, much more effective....
