well, for the record, i've only managed to find one japanese version of AX, so it's not like you'll be able to do any of the GX to AX connectivity unless you have the import...which luckily i do.

the arcade here has the US rev but theyve actually made a really going point latelly to get good games in

supposedly theyre gonna get SvC Chaos soon

is there that Sega/Namco owned arcade chain i bet they would have it

mission 7 is death. it almost doesn't seem possible. after an hour or so, the best i could do is 8th place. any advice?

I'm finally getting better at the game. I finished novice and standard. Then the new Diamond Cup opened up. Its currently beating me. I keep killing myself by attacking other racers with the side impact. Its rather fun to try to kill the rival racer. I seen my bro get a stupid amount of skull icons on the side of the screen then he died.


I wouldnt say the game is AMAZING looking or that the details are mind blowing but it just runs so well and most of the tracks are laid out damn good. I tried the new Extreme G demo in the new OPM, that game is fucking shit compared to F-Zero.

Man I suck. I cant even beat the second mission. Is there a start boost or something? Am I supposed to be trying to knock him off the course?

I beat the second mission by sliding the balance all the way to top speed, and then stay to the right for most of the race. You'll be able to go by most of the boulders with a few dodges here and there. Just stay close and boost at the end. If you pass him early on (and waste boosts) he'll blow by you easily. Make sure you have one or two near the end and it's pretty easy.

Thats pretty much been my strategy. Hasent worked yet. I just rocked him hard with a side attack though and got really far ahead, but I was nearly dead at that point and got too nervous trying to dodge that I went off the course.

I just finished everything on standard but Diamond Cup.

I thought I would try Expert and it was damn hard just keeping up some races. I dont even want to find out what Master setting is like.


I wish there was an easier way to open the arcade tracks. Since I will probably never see and F-Zero machine around here.

Too be fair to Corly, Fun n Games in Willowbrook is the only place known to have american F Zero GX. I guess there having a test run there, but all I see is people playing Initial D.

What do you need to do to unlock the arcade courses?

getting first place in AX gives you the ability to buy the level in GX. or you can get first place in all cups in Master difficulty.
