Transformers G1 game not getting a U.S. release...

Contrary to the recent article in Play Station magazine this month, We have been informed by an official at Takara that the Transformers G1 "Tatakai" game being developed by Winkysoft will NOT be released in the USA. According to Takara " We have decided that G1 would not publish in the US, it will be available only in Japan." Bad news for G1 Fans in the USA. Ah well, guess we'll have to wait for the Armada game by Atari next year. We will post more updates as we get them.

Armada game? Do I care? Armada sucks mighty donkey dong. Hopefully a third party will pick up the G1 game.

Well, it's not like the G1 game looked even half fun, but still.... The US is doomed to never have a G1 game worth playing.

It's really is an odd decision. Transformers has always been more of an American thing than a Japanese thing. Heck, the Transformers had another name in Japan (Diaclons or something like that) until Hasbro released them over here and gave them their own cartoon and comicbook. Oh well, it's Takara's loss.

Beast Wars was fantastic, I'd even say it was better than G1 Transformers.

Technically it isn't, since Takara originally made the toys, but it was Hasbro that gave them the Transformers name, along with their respective personalities.

Yeah, this news sucks. What the hell are they thinking? There are so many TF fans in the US, they are going to lose a lot of potential money.

EVERYONE knows about Transformers. This decision makes no sense.
