Looks sharp. Not a huga fan of GA. It was one of the best beatemups in its day, but then that ain't saying much.

From those screens, it looks completely ghetto, and it's "legacy" isn't much. There better be a whole lot of unseen innovation packed into those screens.

I am not much of a beat-em-up fan, but Golden Axe is one of the few games in the genre that I truly enjoyed. These screens look OK. They're not doing that much for me but you can't tell much from them. File under "maybe".

Hope is has the fire attack that show enemies getting their flesh burned off. RODA had that effect in spades!

To the contrary, if they played around with the core gameplay there'll be hell to pay. Just update the graphics and sounds a bit and we're set. That looks like what they've done. This was already on my list and its progressing quite nicely.

From teh pictures and teh whole idea behind the Sega Ages collection, this is a remake of the original with enhanced graphics, sounds/music, and enemy AI.

Yup Golden Axe and SOR 1 shouldn't even be remade. But both are amazing series. Golden Axe revenge of death adder is still one of the best beatemups around. As well as SOR2. An SOR3 remake with tecno music and beefed up sound effects instead of whatever yuzo made would flat out destroy though. I mean destroy.
