Love's like soda in glass bottles...they just don't make it anymore.

what a great line...but do you truly believe that?
The idealistic romnatic notion of love, sure.

I vote we out-law marriage in this country unless it's ONLY witnessed by god. (in other words, no paperwork to fuck you over)
marriage = alimony
"Your soul better belong to Jesus, mmm-mmmmm..... cause your ass belongs to me!"
Um they still make soda pop in glass bottles
Love is real. But in a two person close relationship there are two main types of love. The short intense feeling of love and the long term, through thick and thin love. The first type of love is the most fun, but the worst for you. It's typically known as "falling in love" "love at first site" or "movie love". Sadly sense it is so drug like and wonderful the brain can adapt to the first type of love. It usually takes about a year, to a year and a half to do so. Scientist are not sure why, but some have theorized that "being in Love" was a hindrance to surviving in the wild. I guess that makes sense considering how stupid people in love can be. But if it is a hindrance, why have it at all? Well a year and a half is just the right amount of time for a female and male to mate, the female to be pregnant and deliver a baby. So lets look at how this works. You have one couple who fall in love, but they don't stay in love long enough to have a baby. He leaves, she is alone, and in the wild that increases her chances of dying. Next you have the couple who stayed in love way past the birth of the child. Neither are as focused as the cold assholes who are not in love right now. The cold assholes think about the job at hand, surviving, love birds get left behind. The two of them are not thinking about surviving as much as the others, and because they are in love, they aren’t breeding with other people to pass on their DNA. Then you have our ancestors. They stay in love long enough to mate, and for the baby to be born. He goes about his way, breeds with other women, more people like him are born. She lets other men mate with her, more people like her are born.
But all is not lost. There is Love, beyond Love. Usually in relationships that work and last, people learn/grow to love each other during the period that they are together. This type of love is a lot more complicated than the former. It reaches into all aspects of the human mind and human interaction. I guess a good way to put it is “they click”, that their personalities go well together and they work together. Also they genuinely care about the other person, and respect the other person. And if these feelings become strong enough they decide to stay together.
yeah, I’m done with my discovery channel special. Most people know on some level what I just talked about by the time they are in their 20s. But I thought some might find it interesting. Remember kiddies, don’t jump into marriage, just because you think you are in love. It really does take a while to figure out for sure.
