Unreal II: The Awakening set for release this holiday season

If you're making your holiday wishlist early, be sure to add <b>Unreal II: The Awakening</b>. Atari has announced the epic first-person shooter is currently in development and will be ready just in time for the holiday sesaon.

"Unreal II: The Awakening raised the bar for single player first person shooters on personal computer, and now Xbox owners will get to experience the same amazing gameplay along with the multiplayer benefits of Xbox Live!," said Steve Allison, vice president of marketing in Atari's Los Angeles studio. "The game features a great story, amazing graphics and truly unique gameplay styles that keep it exciting from beginning to end. It's the perfect title for console shooter fans."

Tantalus and Legend Entertainment (an Atari development studio) are working in conjunction with Epic Games to fine tune the game specifically for the Xbox hardware. In addition, the Xbox edition will include exclusive enhancement and multiplayer content that can only be enjoyed through Xbox Live.

it's shovelware unless they can implement some of those new co-op modes they're working on now into xbox live somehow..

But who would want to play FPS without a mouse anyways?
