Bistro Cupid 2

Has anyone here played the first game on Japanese Xbox or know of anyone who has? The concept of a restaurant management sim combined with dates and RPG battles sounds cool, but I know very little of the developer Firedog and publisher Success (i.e. Do they suck?). Unlike the first, the sequel will be released Aug 28 on both J-PS2 and J-Xbox.

I remember reading about this series first part. It was ment to be quite creative in gaming terms, the crazy idea of the dating/cooking/combat mixed in perfect. Ah hell dating and cooking mixes in well with anything Just look at how one would always get distracted for 2 hours in AzureDreams doing tasks for the date potential females of the town instead actually going INTO the dungeons and the best part of the Suikodens were the cook offs!

Ill put the first one of my lists of things to get and get back to you if you havent played it by then. I have wondered about it.

I have the first one for xbox, but have never played it because I needed to upgrade the bios to my mod chip in order to play imports (the bios on there would only play burns... stupid I know) and I messed up. Seemed like too much trouble to get the darn thing working so it went into the pile o shame, even though I heard nothing but good things about it. There's a nice review on gamefaqs.
