Thread: Finally- Once Upon A Time in Mexico Trailer

  1. Finally- Once Upon A Time in Mexico Trailer

Finally, The trailer for long delayed follow up to Desperado had hit the net. Stated to be released this September the film look VERY TASTY

    See the trailer here: http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/o...ico/index.html

Banderas looks like he is top shape, Salma Haek still hot as ever and Johny Depp looks quite cool in the action. Jack Sparrow would be proud.

  2. What took it so long?

  3. that looks cool, but anyone have anymore background information on the film? Is the storyline going to be connected to the first directly? Should one have watched Desperado before watching this?

I'm down though, the previews looked good enough.

  5. Has anyone seen the original Mariachi film? Rodriguez supposedly filmed it for under $20 using money from some medical insurance (or something like that). The guy who starred was also in "Desperado" as one of Banderas' friends with the guitar cases. I think he was the one with the machine guns.

I've seen it. Yeah, he sold his own blood and volunteered for medical experiments to get the money. Supposedly he made it on an $8,000 budget, most of which was spent on film stock and editing.

I highly recommend Rebel Without a Crew, his book about the making of El Mariachi and his filmmaking philosophy.

The amazing thing about Rodriguez as a filmmaker is that he pretty much does everything himself: editing, lighting, directing, cinematography, special effects, you name it. He even did most of the computer effects in the Spy Kids movies himself.

He's basically the Treasure of the film industry.

  7. Thats why I want to see him do more than just a sequel after sequel of Spy Kids. He has alot of potential. I love most of his movies(except SK2, since I havent seen it).

  8. Poster for the film:

Johhny Depp looks quite bad ass
