So anyway, I'd say every other day or so, but if I have something in particular to do, it can be all day for days on end.

pretty much sums it up for me right there. i don't want to say i've burned out on art, but for the past few years or so i haven't totally been into it as much. this past semester i was really getting back into the groove though. actually completed a sketch book in less than 2 years and i actually had someone/something to work for other than my professor. i can honestly say that it felt incredibly good.

don't really have anything in terms of inspiration. i guess it's whatever i'm feeling at the moment then that's what i'll do. right now, i'm collaborating on something with a friend so that's cool. it means i can be somewhat active still. i don't want to get rusty or anything and a project is something that i think will keep me fresh.

  2. I'll go ahead and put in my 2 cents. I draw almost everyday. But, not too much though. I should probably draw more ^^

  3. I think those of that who have stopped should get back into it, and those who regularly do it, could inspire the rest of us with their ideas and self-motivation

besides, I don't want to be the only one starting to post things around here.

...know what would be really great? if we could get a mini-art site set up on here.

  4. Ideally I think EVERYONE would LIKE to draw everyday... including myself. Usually Ill draw at least every other day recently which is good for me as its been a month or two since the last time I started drawing and that was the first time in a while also.

i like your idea..any place I can show off my art to a larger audience is fine wit me!! I thought it was cool how you featured some of Mr.Dandy's artwork in the review for JSR:F waay back.

Perhaps a suggestion for the board is an "in-progress" thread. that might encourage people to be more active and filter out art for people that prefer to see finished pieces.

Well, if TNL could provide the webspace... Wildcat might volunteer for the web design...? Or others..?Mayhaps some of the fellows from the Gaming Discussion could help, too. If you're really into the idea, command us and we shall obey!

But make it quick before our summer vac runs out, though .

  6. The suggestion sounds feasible, but I don't believe it's warranted just yet to construct a thread for in-progress. IMO, it would be great if we just had more artists in general, more communication, input and just activity altogether.

SRK had the very same problem and it killed things over there rather swifly I might add.

  7. yup

    I agree 100%.

  8. Ah~ the JSR review... y'know, that was actually kinda cool. I wouldn't mind doing some pics for the TNL reviews now and then. I'm sure the others would like to do the same, too. What games are on the review list now? Dino Crisis 3? Final Fantasy X-2? We could even play around drawing what we'd like the covers of these future games to look like .

I'd still have to discuss it with Nick. If it's going on TNL, the site design can't be half-assed whatsoever, regardless who's designing it.

It was just an idea, because I for one certainly don't have the time to manage additional websites

  10. I draw pretty regularly. Be it doodles on scraps at work, preliminary sketches for stuff I'm painting, or finished dawings that I've been comissioned to to do. I also have at least one canvass in progress almost all the time. I will do one painting after another for 6 or 8 months, until I get burnt out. Then I'll take a 2 or 3 week break, or change over to acrylics (This changes the manner in which I work so much that it doesn't feel like the same old same old.)

In fact I haven't played a single game in a week & a half due to the large canvass that I'm working on and a drawing I'm doing for a relative right now.
