I was bored...and my g/f wanted me to do some outfit designs for her based on some anime character (I can't remember which)...anyway, I was trying to remember what she showed me while sketching around and came up with this, so if it looks like some anime character, well, it probably does. Tried to do some different things with my drawing and coloring style, but, not all that pleased with it.

I fixed it...they should be about the same now. That arm was bugging me the whole time, too...but sometimes you brain just decides to let the error go (since, nothing ever looks perfect, and your always making concessions to imperfection anyway). I just found the pics my g/f sent, and this drawing resembles the character "Imari," but I don't know what it's from. So, I need to draw it just like the actual character (I'm missing details), and with my g/f in it instead of some random chick...she's contemplating the outfit for a party, but I seriously think she'll chicken out...oh well. I was sort-of taking requests anyway, to get back in the mood to draw, so it's fine.Originally Posted by mrdandy

That's sorta how I feel about the Karin pic. I'll have to strike another pose for her and try again.

I like the outfit and I especially like the strappy things on the legs.
The only thing that really looks off to me is the boobs. The one on the right looks a little bigger to me. Also, with that much boob exposed you'd think you'd see a little nipple or something (especially on the right one).

even though this is a bit rough I like the style that you ink things in. reminds me of the way I'd like to ink my own work, with heavy doses of black ink!! good line width variation, thick outlines.
i think its a great pic and my one criticism would be her hands look a bit manly the one the right looks kinda hairy with all the linework going on and her left wrist looks too thick, maybe its the angle but id like to see more contour like in the right hand wrist. Clearly Im nit-picking as im sure much of your focus was on the costume which looks dope as hell.

No, I agree with you...but I didn't ink it...I just painted the pencils. That's partially the reason the lines are so rough...usually I give women a bit bigger hands and arm to help even out their otherwise disproportionate bodies (like, bust size and leg length), but in this case, the thick lines and no full shot of the legs seem to emphasize it a bit more than I'd like.
