The Scary Movie series sucks. It needs to die. They need to learn that squeesing as many stupid pop-culture references in as possible is no substitute for actually bothering to write actual jokes. Scary Movie 2 is one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

yeah the matrix and there was another movie that wasnt even close to horror that they parodied. weird.Looks like this movie will be much better and funnier than the 2nd one. I watched only a little of Scary Movie 2 and it was nowhere as funny as the first. Not surprising considering how they rushed the movie out. Glad to see they took their time with this one... what does the Matrix have to do with scary movies???

I think this time around its only name Scary Movie is staying true to the ways original 2 were. With new writer and director theme, I think they going with more of a parody of popular movies/trends of last couple of years - be it Matrix, Eminem, The Ring, Pamela Anderson tape and MJ.
