current trailer length before your feature.......

okay i worked at a cinemark theatre for about 2 years ending the summer that mortal kombat came out. i never remembered during that time having more than 2 or 3 trailers for upcoming movies before the feature. i saw bad boys 2 last night and not only do they have a lot more regular commercials now but the whole pre movie trailer was 25 minutes long! thats just absurd to me. i gotta piss before the movie even starts sometimes. anybody else think this trend is becoming a little rediculous?

Well, I dont mind seeing trailers for the upcoming movies. In fact I always look forward seeing those, especially during the spring when they start premiering the ones of big summer flicks, but what I hate is the trend for Pre-Show Advertisment, where you assaulted with barrage of Coke, Nike and other product adds that wastes addtional time.

It seems to clock in to about 15 minutes of ads and trailers where I am. So when they say and 8:00 show time, the ads/trailers start at 7:55 or 8:00 on the dot.

I complely agree with you man. It also depends on the movie, how many adds you would see. Bigger, event pictures like Matrix or LOTR, will have TON of previews, while smaller films will have less.

Still if they could cut the number of those Product Adds, Theater adds and other crap, it would make a difference.

I love Trailers! The non mulit plex theatres have only like 1 or 2 it seems. Ads unless there for a video game suck bigtime.

Oh god! How many times did I fall asleep while they were playing these?

I'm either looking for something to do while they're playing or I just wake up when the musics over, no point having to swallow any of it.

Seeing an advertisment in the theater instead of a trailer makes me want to buy their product less. What the hell is that shit anyway?
