Thread: Nip/Tuck

  1. Great episode last night, the custody battle with Julia's mother is brilliant. She holds all the cards, I don't see how she could lose at this point.

I thought it was odd that Christian couldn't tell with the new girl but he called Eva on it right away way back in season 2. And Kimber! She and Christian just need to get married and fight for the rest of their lives, it's just meant to be.

  2. The show keeps motoring along. They closed the child custody battle plot a lot faster than I thought they would and Matt got sent to pound you in the ass penatentuary! Hell of an end to that episode and this week they didn't even mention Matt. That lead to a classic N/T with Sean and Christians personal and repeat problems, it was a hell of an episode.

Looks like it's Christian's time to snap next week, the preview looked awesome.

  3. FX has announced that the last 9 episodes of the show (that they are calling Season 7) will air starting January 6th. So no insanely stupid delay for the end is going to happen.

  4. Season 6 "ended" this week and it was pretty good although it really wasn't a finale of any sort (as expected). Further cements Matt being a complete piece of shit, but at the same time I can't blame him for wanting to gtfo of jail. The talk that Kimber and Liz has was really good and now Kimber is now even more damaged than she was before. Who knew that was even possible? That last scene at the dinner table was pretty poetic, just one mess of a human being sitting next to an even bigger mess. Coming into the home stretch I don't see McNamara/Troy making it much longer.

  5. So far the last episodes have been really good, tonight's especially. Sean is activley standing up to Christian now and is starting to separate himself from the pair while Christian goes through another midlife crisis. Kimber is still hot as ever, it was kind of a back to basics show. Felt like one of the older episodes where the writing, directing and music choice all fit perfectly together.

    7 episodes left.

  6. It's been a pretty great ride so far. There have been a lot of throwbacks to previous seasons as they are bringing back major stories from the series to close everything out.

They're really magnifying the relationship that Sean and Chrisitan have made over the passed 20 years. They're like one person, people see their actions as if they're one person. Christian just drags Sean down at every possible turn regardless of Sean's intentions and actions. Sean has been trying to separate himself from Christian, but it never works. He's always been and always will be Christian's bitch until one of them dies. Only 4 left!

  7. Man, I can't believe this show is finally ending in 3 episodes. I know Rumpy is the only one really posting about episodes, but I've been watching every week, and I seriously think this could be one of my favorite seasons of all. It's taken out all of the bullshit storylines of extraneous characters in the show that they introduce and have really concentrated on Sean, Christian, and their issues and history.

I just finished watching the therapy episode, and from a character standpoint, it is easily in my opinion one of, if not the strongest episodes they have ever produced. 100% character study on the 2 people the show is centered around in every therapy scene. The conversation between Liz and Christian was 3 min long, but ultimately summed up all of the issues between Sean and Christian and what is the source of. Then closing out the episode with the therapist asking "What don't you like about your relationship?", perfect, absolutely perfect.

  8. The acting in the last episode is some of the best they've ever done. Most of the episode takes place in one room, but it's some of the most interesting shit they've ever done. Liz talking to Sean about how he doesn't know who the fuck he is without Christian and seeing his reaction was perfect. He just doesn't see it any of his problems being the result of who he is. It's wild because they both bring up valid points about each other and it makes you switch sides to who you favor.

Christian dropping lines like "We both know where the bodes are buried" is just killer. Matt's part was rough too. "You two are the worst things in my life and I don't think I should be anywhere near you" was a stake to Sean's heart while Christian just blows it off...which are bother completely natural reactions to Matt.

  9. I'm kinda glad the show is ending. It seems it's been going downhill for awhile and the actors have just been mailing it in. I thought the last ep was kinda boring. Sorry, Rumpy, I was kind of bored.

  10. I don't think anyone thinks the show should keep going, there's nothing left for them to do. Tie up the world and the story ends.
