i didn't read that giant informatted block of text because it's a giant unformatted block of text AND it's from gamespot who never seem to hire people who know both japanese and english...

personally i'm losing much of my sentimental attraction to sega at this point. sonic + UGA seems good to me because they're both good teams. amusement vision + smilebit is odd but it doesn't bug me.

wow is totally uninteresting to me, and overworks is more or less if they stay focused on sakura taisen. kunoichi should be cool, and i'm curious about rieko kodama's next project whatever it is, but...

hitmaker + sega rosso is another snoozer to me, although i hear initial D special stage is good.

overall, i'm finding it hard to care though.

Does this mean no Rez 2?!?

I thought this was a great idea, but after reading it... I don't know. I don't think Sonic Team + UGA = Mainstream...

Sounds weird to me too, but we'll need to see some titles before making any judgment.

considering that sonic team makes sonic the hedgehog i find it really funny everyone is saying "SONIC TEAM IS NOT MAINSTREAM!?!?!?!!!?!?!?!!"

i wouldn't worry until we have a reason to worry, like, they announce new games and they are poo. but i guess that's what a forum is for... doomcrying.

This must be a mis-translation, as I'm sure the original article said "Amusement Vision (F-Zero AX, Super Monkey Ball) and Smilebit (Jet Set Radio) will be merged to develop countless offline and online Jet Set Radio sequals."

I'd imagine more people are worried about United Game Artists.
