I was really suprised when EGM only gave it a 7 or something.
JTS is one of my favorite games on NES. I remember buying it for like $5 at a K-Mart or something when I was little. Great, great game.

  2. My copy of Power Instinct Matrimelee for the Neo-Geo has the Sunsoft trademark on it.

Well, Sunsoft is the Arcade distributor for Playmore/SNK in Japan in case you didn't know.

  4. Isn't that an Atlus developed game? I hear that princess Kurara is a playable character.

  5. yup, she is with a code.

  6. Great thread, well done.

They did make a PCE Hu-Card Batman platformer, only trouble was that they didn't release it because it looked amazing, way better than the poor MD one. Anyone else who saw the screenshots 13 years ago would agree now I'm sure.

Wait a sec.. there was a PCE Batman PLATFORMER? The only PCE Batman I remember was that lame overhead maze-ish action game which cant hold a candle to the MD Batman, which was a good game.

I liked Silius. It sort of resembled Mega Man.
the rumor goes that this was going to be a terminator game. supposedly the unused terminator graphics are in the rom. i don't know about the validity of this. the japanese title is "raf world". it has different graphics for the main character. for no apparent reason.

i like this game, too. it has the same sound library as blaster master, and very good music too. the BM frog croak sound is in the game over fanfare. =)

    Tel Tel Stadium(Mega Drive, 1990)
that'd be tommy lasorda baseball. they developed that for sega?

    Hebereke(Famicom, 1991)
some hebereke games came out in europe, but i don't know which ones off the top of my head.

    Albert Odyssey Gaiden(Super Famicom, 1994)
This one was a traditional RPG.

Gaiden was later remade for Saturn and released here by Working Designs as Albert Odyssey. My cousin bought this game thinking it would be similar to Lunar because of the box art but he was quite disappointed. Albert was average in every way.
the SFC version of AOG never materalized. it was cancelled and moved to saturn.

honestly i think AOG has great music and good atmosphere, but gameplay and plot wise it's extremely average. also, i think it's got one of the worst localizations WD has ever done. it's nonstop jokey even in scenes with characters dying and stuff.

    Eternal Eyes(Playstation, 2000)
Crave brought this RPG out here as a budget-priced game. I haven't heard too many compliments about it.
eternal eyes is called something else in japan. it escapes me now. its scenario was done by kenji terada of final fantasy 1-3.

  9. Journey to Silius is pretty fun. I thought it was a cool contra-ish game.

Blaster Master is one of the best games ever made, too bad the one for the genesis was such a mess.

Gremlins 2 was great, the graphics were really impressive for its time. It's one of the best movie based games on the NES.

As for Fester's Quest, this is one of the worst games ever made. It takes a special kind of person to actually enjoy this abortion.

Tel Tel Stadium isn't Tommy Lasorda Baseball. Super League = Tommy Lasorda.
