Swimming Pool

I live in central Jersey and in a neighboring town there's a movie theater that plays strictly independent films. I don't go there that often seeing as I don't keep up in independent films and so it's are that I agree to dropping $8 on a movie I know little about.

Well, tonight a large group (12) of friends and aquantences decided that they'd go see this movie called "Swimming Pool" that was being shown there. A organizer of the gathering had read a review which compared it to a Hitchcock film so many of us were overly interested.

That movie sucked. It was entirely too slow moving and contained very few "thrilling" scenes. The twist ending was good but hardly made up for the first hour and twenty minutes or so of boredom.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has seen this film and either agrees for disagrees with me and why. Also, name any other independent films that you hated or loved.

i want to go see "Nowhere in Africa" but might just wait out the rental -can't say I've ever been to an indie movie theater around Houston though, there are a couple but far away.
