Thread: Otogi: Myth of Demons **Official**

  1. I'm pretty sure you can go way past that, I was at mid 500s only about half way through the rush of enemies... I wonder if there's any substantial bonus for a 1000 hit combo?

  2. Forrest Windy level was pretty good, but Boss battle was tough, at least when fighting him armed with Hammer. Damn wind kept pushing me back, and demon was shotting those purple arrow fireballs. But with the sword, dj got him easily.

We also went back to Water Bridge level, and after several tries, scored Needle accessory with 46 second finish. Pretty cool item, especially when combined with Sword of Binding.

Tested that combo on Flying Insect boss, and after few unsuccessful tries(if he hits you, you get damaged HARD), dj did it. It only takes 2 strong hits to kill him.

Which weapon did you guys used for those long combos?

    Nice work on the bridge!

As Victrix (I think) suggested, I went with the Butterfly Staff and did nonstop combos with Genbu (Butterfly) magic ----> slash, slash, slash, spell. Although, somewhat different than Victrix's method, I stayed on the ground the whole time.

  4. I just have to say, I just got this game on the 5th (my birthday) and am having a BLAST playing through it. I love the whole RPG aspects (leveling up, purchacing weapons, spells and accessories, etc.) and going through levels again. After first seeing this game mentioned, and reading some mediocre japanese reviews, I was a little discouraged, but I still perservered. And I'm glad I didn't let those reviews get to me.

The second game can't come soon enough.

Oh and thanks everybody for posting all the unlockables. I was searching at Game FAQ's and I didn't see anything. I'm gonna get to reading after some F-Zero play time.

  5. Beat the Crimson King. Anyone notice how his voice sounds a bit like Mojo Jojo? "It is I, the Crimson King, that is I who am both King AND Crimson, and I have a diabolical plan, whereby I, the CRIMSON KING will rule everything! HAHAHAHAH!"

We dont have that weapon yet, but I'm sure that it will pick it up on the way, since we still less than half through the game, and currently on Fire Cave level.

  7. I hate escort missions. Hate hate hate. Argh

Not too hard it looks like, but man. Going back and trying to get full destruction or 100% souls will be a joy also :/

I got 100% on one try (didn't get any when I cleared it). If you have all the mercy orbs, your life will deplete so slowly that leaving the spirit behind won't matter. Most of the souls are in the bridges, btw.

I'm only missing the training stick now. I just can't do the combo. Maybe it's because my level is maxed and I obliterate anything with one hit most of the time. The invisible wolves gave me more trouble the second time than they did the first though. They do double damage and they turn invisible again almost right after you stop hitting them.

Just got there. Ugh. I'd be happy to never play an escort/protect level ever again.
