Thread: New Killzone shots

  1. #31
Just read Lucas' post and my interest has skyrocketed. No aliens? Thank god. I can't stand fighting a bunch of generic poorly designed aliens/monsters (a la Halo) in shooters.

You do know that PS2 only has 2 controller ports right?

    Multitap get.

  3. Actually, having a 4 player co-op with the multitap prob isn't good idea cause the view for each person would be 2 small, and you wouldn't be able to see much detail. Has anyone else heard that the headset thing from SOCOM will be used in this game? I hope they don't, cause i don't want to look like a lunatic talking to the TV. I just want the teammates to be totally AI controlled so i don't have to worry about them.

but still, a 2 player co-op would be awesome like Halo and Timesplitters 2

  4. co-op seems nice but i want geo-mod ......its weird that they didnt mention a us release date

  5. new mag scans but they still look good

It isn’t too often that a game gets bumped up by almost six months, so this certainly comes as good news to FPS fans and PS2 fanboys alike. Also, we've got a bit of new info about the game itself:

    - the four playable characters will be two males called Templar and two females knows as Luger. Templar will be the brawny Rambo-type, while Luger's specialty is stealth.

    - as reported earlier, the four characters have different abilities (ie, Luger is awesome for snipin people, but isn't quite as good when big guns come into play).

    - players don't control the other three squad members, as the AI will direct the traffic for you, giving cover fire and tactical assistance.

    - squad members don't die, but can be weakened, especially during protection missions. They also apparently will not get in the player's way (blockinf doors, etc).

    - enemy troops take orders from enemy officers, so if you kill the officer first, the troops will panic and fight without direction.

    - you may fight against vehicles, but there won't be any to ride in during the game.

    - the USB headset will be copatible with this game.

    - early reports say the framerate needs to be worked on, in order to assure a smooth-playing game.

We'll have more on this one as it unfolds.
i hope some reacts somehow and replys i feel ignored here people

The number of details and quality of the environments and character models is amazing. I just hope that everything looks as good in motion.

It might play simular to Brute Force in the way the squad gameplay worked there. You command one character(and with Co-op your partner controls another), that leaves 2 more members of the team, and you can give them number of commands such as cover me, guard the flanks, and other. Lets just hope that the story and gameplay will be done better than it was in BF.
