I swing both ways. Buy what I can (without going to extremes) and copy the hard-to-get.
If you mean shelling out $1000 for one game, you can have it.
Original, though I'm not going back to buy 16-bit games for systems I no longer own.
I think you know what that means.
Well that's like, your opinion, man.

I own ZERO copied games. Never had any.
Well I guess I do have one disc with a few hundred NES games that I use on the Dreamcast. Thats it.
And a few roms for the PC of old arcade games.
Oh yeah, all the Metal Slugs too. Fuck paying $200 for that. Thats it though.

It depends on how much I like the game, recently-
Original: Initial D: Special Stage, Ape Escape 2, Star Wars: KOTOR
Copied: The Sims, Metal Slug 3 (Not paying 50 bucks for Metal Slug thanks), Mega Man X 7
It also depends on the money situation as well. I just got a boot of Rez for PS2 a few nights ago. I wanted to pick up the greatest hits JP version of the game but currently all available gaming resources are going to building my Half-life 2 rig (All thats left is the Radeon 9800Pro) since it's the most important game so far....by so far I mean ever =D
Play Guitar Hero //
If you're buying used, you might as well bootleg the game.
The developer/publisher gets no money either way.
Buying used still helps put money into the gaming industry, as it helps the retail side of thing.
