I've already seen a site that explains, in detail, all the hidden themes in EWS.

That doesn't make the movie suck any less, however.

Sorry, there is nothing on the web that comes even close to unwraveling the mysteries of the film, I've seen a few 3 paragraph articles on the web that touch on 1 or 2 points. The film has THOUSANDS of hidden moments, and they usually stack on top of each other in the same scene.

Tell me some of the themes of the film, and infidelity doesn't count.

And not all films need to be muddled in textbook bullshit and enigmatic gestures to be profound.

But, whatever. We all don't need our lectures.

His film is philisophy, and is the antithesis of a lecture. Go rent an Oliver Stone film if you want to be preached to directly by the protagonist.

If you want an enigmatic mind fuck that keeps you up at nights, give Kubrick another chance.

Offhand, the overblown images he uses to show the shadow self of Tom Cruise come to mind. How the shadow of the mask is elongated during the finale, on the bed, and then reverts to normal.

The stances of the men and women aside one another, during the party, the flirting with the bellhop and the allusions to New York that isn't real New York I can also remember.

I don't claim to be an expert on the movie, but if you give a nerd enough time they will tell you how the Matrix Reloaded can parralel the Bible in every sentence.

That's not going to make the movie more enjoyable or less Retarded, IMHO.

LAYERS UPON LAYERS UPON LAYERS aside, I enjoyed Eyes Wide Shut. It's one of my favorite Kubrick movies, actually. The others are The Shining and Clockwork Orange.

I did not find it. I saw it on gaming-age, and clicked through the link. It was interesting enough to read through, and see the theories, just as I've read 2 matrix revolutions spoiler topics on sites today.

Look above. If you want to be the king of EWS, I don't think anyone, myself included, is going to argue with you.

It's odd that you feel the need to really react to a movie that you've devoted so much time to with so much emotion.
