I'm pretty sure that Eyes Wide Shut is the definition of a shitty film.

Because you don't like it and found it stupid/boring?

  3. #53
    No. Because it sucked.

MVS, YOU made Blade Runner?! That's awesome!

And I thought the GameFan career was impressive enough
I meant 'my' in the sense of 'one of my favorite films'.

Since my name isn't Sir Ridley Scott, I would have thought that obvious.

    Correct.

On a distant side note, I'm always fascinated by the performance of the actor who plays Heywood Floyd. The most convincing portrayal of a bureaucrat in film history. Remember how he diverts the inquiries of the Russian scientists? HA!

  6. What, no votes for Killer's Kiss?

No, The Killing was his first great film. Learn to respect!

I've seen all his films. Top down, my favorites are:

    Clockwork Orange
    The Killing
    Dr. Stranglelove
    Eyes Wide Shut
    Paths of Glory

  7. I just watched the Killing twice. It was very good, anyone who enjoys caper/robbery flicks or just diggs Kubrick should check it out.

Barry Lyndon is very good, though I have only seen it once. I believe I will go rent it soon so I can have a more complete picture of it.

I also enjoyed Lolita very much. I saw it after I read the novel, which I would also reccomend highly, so I might of had a better understanding of it then normal.
I knew he was a commie, cause he didn't drink [duff] beer.

  8. One question: Was Kubrick jewish?

  9. 2001 is the best movie ever made IMO.

Just for the record I think Eyes Wide Shut is a great film as well.
