I wish beating the game would unlock a stage that started you off with a tiny Katamari and removed the time limit =(
Anyway, I was thinking of starting a Score Attack thread, with a high score for each stage (depending on the stage requirements)... there really aren't that many.
If no one does it by the time I get home, I'll probably do it.

Agreed.Namco still deserves a ton of credit for bringing this out in the US. That took some sack on their part (or maybe not, after seeing the reaction it got at E3 this year).

Seriously, I love how little they changed for the U.S. release. I was wondering, though...I know they re-dubbed the cutscenes (I agree with ChaoofNee, the way they're dubbed makes them even funnier than they would have been if they spoke in Japanese), but what about the in-game voices? All the humans you roll over cry out in English ("What's happening?!?!?"), were they English in the Japanese version or did Namco re-dub them as well?
I don't know...the cost of the translation was probably minimal, and the game itself doesn't appear to have had the biggest development budget in the world. Since Namco's working on a sequel, I assume it sold well to it's initial target audience (Japanese people...I mean, no one made this with Americans in mind). I assume U.S. budget sales of games like this are just gravy.One other question I have (and this pertains to budget titles in general) is how publishers will be able to keep this up. Could the practice of selling a game in Japan at ~$50 and then turning around and selling it for $20 be considered dumping?

I couldn't give a shit about a J-track. English dub's fine, since that's the language I can actually understand.
