Wow, you're like a hero or something... I'm always tempted to warn people of shit auctions, or even when they're bidding $100+ more than the game can be had at some internet retailer, but I never do it. It's cool that you do, though.

And Werewolf, while that collection is kickass, I'm practically allergic to "Greatest Hits" and other re-releases, unless they're on different systems or regions, so I don't see the point in having 2 identical FF7's for the US PS, only difference being that one is ugly as hell.

But that's a pretty cool collection... I wish I had kept my original NES FF box. *sigh*

Yeah, it was obviously a complete fake. From the picture it seemed to be a Super Mario cart with desoldered roms replaced with EPROMs of Neo Demiforce's hack, and a sticker label with the art fromt he Wonderswan version on it. The description was likewise ridiculous and said it was from Chona, despite obviously being in a US shell, and proclaimed itself to be, and I quote "The rariest game on the universe".

I remember that auction. Ironic that somebody would be enough of a Final Fantasy fanatic to pay that much for the "game" (assuming the transaction did go through), but clueless enough not to pick up on the fact that it had the reworked Wonderswan FFII title on it. Though it could've been a fake bidder anyways who was trying to ruin the auction.

Hey Werewolf, do you know of any good articles written about FF7 in a retrospective manner - any sites that have articles like that? Something that looks back on the game and speaks about its shining moments or something along those lines?

I used to have a great one that went over all the religous symbolism in the game... it was something like 10-15 pages long.

I would never pay for a game more than once though. Unless I lost it, which I do a lot. I still can't find my Goldeneye 007. I think I lent it to Sheldon and he never gave it back to me. What a fucking asshole. He's so smug and friendly and it's all just a big scam to borrow big name titles and never give them back. Well "Sheldon" or should I call you "Mr.Sheldon Game Stealer"? The bank is closed! Except for the inbox, because you can give them back at ANY time! So technically the bank is not close, but the takeout window or register IS.

No, while the Square metreon events are a cool opp for this kind of stuff, I've been collecting these sigs (with the help of my pal Milk) while conducting interviews with various Square guys over the past few years.
