This game is amazing. GOTY so far without a doubt. It's the best arcade racer I've ever played.

50 Million in Crash mode, all of coupe opened up, and half the gold medals. Time to retire for me to wake up and play online!

I'm not going to flash behind me when I'm doing 165 down the wrong lane of traffic and weaving inbetween traffic.

I do if I feel the need but I can totally understand how others wouldn't like it.

There really isn't a lot of variety between the cars in the class and it's only if you enter a game that has no restrictions will you be unable to win with a slower car.

This slightly irks me for single-player but if it works out in multiplayer balance I'm all for it.

Up to Coupes now, and this game is fast, really fast.

Sweet Jesus yes. I've gone through about half the Crash levels and something like 36 races and the only one I haven't gotten gold on is the first of the Special Events with an F1 because it's just too fast for me to control. I always end up crashing with it at least once because I can barely process what's coming at me before it's already behind me. Makes me all tingly, this has to be the fastest feeling racer ever.

Heh, same here. I really, really don't want to go to bed yet but I figured getting the Longnose Cab was a good checkpoint to stop at, although I really wanted to keep trying to find that last Headline. That Cab rocks, first try on a random level (Turn and Burn, I think) got me 1.9 million.

The main problem with the flashback look, is that it's only from 1st person. So, if you are in 3rd and do it, it looks back from the first person view. Either way, this would not be a problem were there a 1) Rear View Mirror 2) Map with Icons of Cars.

These periodic updates on time are pretty weak.

I got the PS2 version. It's awesome, that's about all there is to say. Put in about 3 hours and I can say that it's my favorite racing game to date. I got a shit load more to unlock, I've really just scratched the surface. And this is a serious technical achievement, it looks absolutely fantastic and is unbelievably fast. I mean, when your doing 200, it feels like your doing 200. Oh man, the first time I hit a bus head on and it exploded I cried out in happiness. The crashes are so much better it's amazing. The surround sound is awesome, I can't say enough good things about this game.

Is it me or does it seem like the "blur" is on all the time?

Crash mode is even better now. Didn't think I'd like the aftertouch or the detonation thing, but their both awesome

Well, from what we played last night this game is amazing. I'm getting my own on Friday when I work at EB, and I'll try to unlock as much as I can saturday morning to go Live by Saturday night/Sunday.

Did anyone else have any trouble with the crap EA servers? We had a few hiccups here and there =/
