Thread: Burnout 3

  1. Until this game has servers that are not the worst of all fucking time, I quit.

When the servers are good, let me know and I'm back on that day. Until then, fuck EA.

So I take it its not a good time to pick up this game for primary Live usage?

It was fun playing with you guys. Here is what I learned:
    1. You can't join a friend's game unless you are on the same lobby as them and manually select teh room to play in
    2. Accepting game invites from friends and not being able to enter the room crashes your game
    3. Do not feed Mogwais after midnight

My Xbox has never crashed/dropped this much ever with any game but when the games are solid it's all worth it.

  7. Yeah, I think we've all learned that invites are there solely to tell you the name of the game because accepting them crashes the Xbox. EA is a huge group of retards, the DC and its mighty 56k never dropped me half this much.

Aside from that: Good times, all, good times.

  8. It may be difficult to deal with the server sometimes, but ultimately it is rewarding on a very high level.

  9. How the fuck did this game get through QC? The online component has so many random glitches it is infuriating. The funny thing is, it is all on the lobby/matchmaking side -- once you get going, the game works fine.

Half of my brain is saying this was allowed just so that Microsoft could use this as an example of what happens when companies do not use MS' Live services. ("You want to use your own services? And end up like Burnout 3?")

(Note: I know NCAA Football and Madden 2005 are also on EA's services, so this is not a first. I know that NCAA Football had some networking problems, but have not heard anything concerning Madden...)

So long as you don't try to offer me your 'special injection', Dr. Gay, I'm fine with that.
