Thread: Burnout 3

  1. I played this game for 45 minutes at EB today. This is one hell of a game. Everytime I crashed I fealt like shouting expletives out of joy for what I was seeing. The crash scenes are just so damn cool in this game. Then som kid started playing with me and the whole time we would just turbo right into eachother and cause some insane crashes. I definately plan on picking this game up, but not until the price drops or the network problems get fixed.

You're only cheating yourself if you wait.

And this is someone who waits for virtually every single game to drop price. Plus, now that EA owns the license, don't expect a price drop for a long while, as EA dosen't like dropping prices (espically on games that sell).

  6. Good news!! According to EA's website:

    Scheduled Server Maintenance

On Tuesday, September 14, beginning at 1:00 AM PDT, the EA and Pogo.Com sites, PS2 and Xbox-Live games will experience a scheduled interruption of service for a software upgrade. Duration is expected to be 45 minutes for PS2 and Xbox games, and 50 minutes for Pogo.com.

Customers will be unable to login to the PS2 games, Xbox Live games, and EA websites or message boards during the full duration of this downtime.

Burnout (Xbox) will be down an additional 15 minutes while they undergo a lobbyserver deployment.

  8. I think they already tweaked some things a little since the last night. I played a bunch of games today and I only ever saw one person get bumped after the game twice.
    Play Guitar Hero //

  9. Awesome, let's hope it fixes things.

Further updates for me: I've gotten everything except the 2 Bus/2 Tram/2 Big Rig awards (well, I've only got like 1450 Takedowns but getting to 2000 is just a matter of time), any help for easier ways to do this then randomly racing courses and hoping I get lucky? Races don't keep the people together so getting specific Takedowns is a huge pain in the ass, and two-player mode doesn't count (Yeah, I tried that. Racing both cars myself.).

A big Thank You to Dipstick, both for pointing out single event counting and listing vehicle locations. You made my life in BO3 very easy today, which is doubly appreciated after the nonsense of the F1 GP.
