I am a really big fan of the entire series... well up until three.
Alien four's only real saving grace is Winonna Ryder is in it.

Alien is a great movie to watch alone... same with Alien 3. Aliens requires a group of people to yell shit at the screen... namely all of Hudson's lines.

Alien 3 is by far the best in the series. I still have my Alien 3 T-shirt that I bought on opening day.

Its pretty haggard these days though.

Fincher really didn't go with Giger's vision of what the aliens in part 3 should look like, I saw an interview with mr. giger (strange fella) and he said he didn't like the alien design they used.

That being said, I'm really glad I held off on buying the legecy set. Another stellar set from Fox. I did not like part 3 or part 4 the first time I saw them, but 3 is actually quite good and part 4 is at the very least watchable IMO.

Hard to say now, but you might actually be better off with the Legacy Set.

Alien Resurrection was on AMC the other day. Sad times when that movie is considered an American Movie Classic.

They are bringing back the first Alien to the big screen this Halloween. It will be the director's cut, it will be great to see it in the theatre.
