It was the RIAA. It seems that many New Yorkers were file sharing yesterday, so the decision was made to implement Sen. Hatch's plan of nuking file-sharer's computers. Unfortunately they got a little carried away. Clay [sic] Sherman had this to say on Good Morning America this morning:

"I agree, it's unfortunate. However, extreme problems require extreme measures. File sharers must realize that they cannot remain anonymous, and that if we suspect them of illegaly [sic] sharing music over the internet, we are prepared to go to whatever lengths necessary to stop it - even it it means cutting service to their power grid."

An attorney for the RIAA was unavailable for comment.

Green, I dig what you're saying. I was just going by what I felt at the time. I'm not against the RIAA all that much, barring this, IF it ends up being true, which I seriously doubt.
