There is more entertainment in here than in the whole fight club board right now. And all of it has remained semi-civil. Awesome.

Aside from pointing out my horrible english skills when I post off of a whim, yes it has.

He was saying that it was a Sonic Clone.

  2. Flicky's on the Sonic Mega Collection, and going by what I've played of it, is completely devoid of anything resembling long-term fun. Anyways, the game isn't anything like Sonic in terms of gameplay (the normal definition.)

  3. The normal definition? You mean what you control directly onscreen? Because I've tried to make a distinction between real time and turn based.

  4. I believe Flicky was a 2 Meg game for the Genesis. In fact, it may have even been 1 Meg. I only played it briefly. Not very fun, even if it does have gameplay identical to Sonic.
    No gnus is good gnus.

  5. So what was your point in bringing it up, if you don't mind me asking?

  6. Gameplay= What I do to make something on-screen occur. Turn-based and real-time are each methods of gameplay. In the case of Flicky, it's real-time.

I think Flicky is pretty cool but it's only really for fans of really old-school style platformers. For those that don't know, the Genesis game is a port of a 1984 arcade game.

  8. 1984? That would explain the simplistic graphics.

  9. "Maybe they don't know enough about games to be able to see what I'm saying."

Andrew, do you realize that saying shit like that is unnecessary? You will NOT be able to "prove" anything to anyone in this thread or on this forum by talking about yourself as if you're the only intelligent human being here. I don't care how much you disagree with what's being said, you NEED to not act like such a weasely little prick every time someone diagrees with what you're saying. I know you don't talk to people like that out in the real world (other than your fellow hypernerds) or you'd get clobbered, continuous. That's not how grown ups act, especially when they're so desperately trying to win a friendly argument at a public forum. I hate to say it, but your high and mighty "Game Developer" posturing and continued references to your vastly superior intelligence are doing little more than paint a vivid picture of your own immaturity and insecurity. At this point it's becoming a little bit sad, IMO.

And I have to say also at this point that I'm genuinely incredulous. You've never even heard of Flicky and you've never played Sonic games, yet you'll freely insinuate that I don't know what gameplay is?

You really should just take time out to make a post in which you thank everyone who has taken the time to take you seriously in this thread. You don't deserve it.

  10. LOL, I have relatives in India who have better command over English than our friend andrew here.

Tracer- Yeah, I agree with you- KOTOR and PS2 is an apples and orranges comparison.=\ I should have mentioned something like Panzer Saga in my first post.
