Yes. The action taken by the gamer is to select an attack from the menu. The reaction is for your character to go out and perform it. Every Final Fantasy I've played has worked this way. Thank you, Lhadatt.

Where? I have never called somebody stupid. I said I have experience working on videogames, they don't. That's not slander because it's true.

But I thought it's been said time and time again I don't know how to write and articulate properly? I don't understand how such a small fact like Final Fantasy having the same gameplay can skew the topic out of hand.

If anybody would care to tell him how they differenciate. I'd like to know. A combo system isn't going to separate the gameplay style of a Final Fantasy X from a Final Fantasy 3 when they're controlled the same way.

My point was story was the big difference between them. I can play FF3, finish it and play FFX and have no trouble adapting, because there is very little different.

My intention wasn't to be rude. Mech Deus was the poster who originally started personal name calling and most of my posts don't have insults towards members. Saying someone has no experience with the game industry and making one when they don't have the experience isn't an insult, it's truth.

You will NOT be able to "prove" anything to anyone in this thread or on this forum by talking about yourself as if you're the only intelligent human being here. Actually that game about by Mech Deus asking me how I think I know so much or something along those lines and I told him.

Just because you play games for 20 years, doesn't mean you know their components. I do talk to people that don't listen in that tone and I've never had a problem.

I wasn't trying to hurt your feelings, that is why I said I didn't want to get personal right at the beginning of that post. I only brought it up because you were making quite a big deal about your "Industry" experience. I don't think you are operating within the industry unless you are getting paid to do it. You get paid to work at Pizza Hut, not to make games, so you are an amateur game designer. I play pool sometimes, but I don't try to comment upon the professional billiards tournament scene.
