Thread: Conspiracy Theories

  1. Conspiracy Theories

Anyone really believe any of them?

I think FDR knew about Pearl Harbor and let it happen, which is messed up, but it got the end result that wasn't going to happen.

I wouldn't call the man a traitor, but he turned made a choice that caused 2,000+ Americans to die.

  2. I saw some pamphlet out there from like '99 or '00, that was for National Security peeps, that had the World Trade Centers in cross hairs on the cover.
It was certainly known as a terrorist target.

But then again what was anybody s'posed to do? -shut the place down?

  3. I dunno about the WTC thing.

I'm know planes hit them and all, but the way that they fell down and the reasons behind it seem a little odd, though.

And, I'm not saying ti was a bad thing, if they used explosives to bring them down, they would have killed a lot more if both just fell over, mind you.

  4. What do you think is odd about the way they fell down?

Also, after reading about the US's MK ULTRA program, it sort of creeped me out. Using hypnosis and personality fragmentation to plant assassins who don't even know they are assassins. After reading some more about the whole idea, it seems plausible. Oh well, I guess I just like being paranoid or something.

Eyes Wide Shut has some amazing parallels with conspiracy theories like this, and of course the people writing about it cite Kubrick's sudden death just after the movie's making as proof that Kubrick was saying more than he was supposed to in the movie.
A little like this Beatles theory that's been floating around.

Oh no! The Freemasons are here! Helpaa7hgep;n

Your llamas will be calm under most circumstances. Grouse flying up from under the feet will unglue the calmest llama

Post-college, pumpkin-defenestrating, tricycle racing angst. Whoosh.

    Re: Explosives in WTC:

They did, back in 93/94. It didn't work. The illuminati needed a new way to begin the reign of fear!

The biggest conspiracy of all was Bush winning the 2000 election. Hell, they didn't even do a very good job of covering it up, it's just people don't care for some reason.

    Sad, but true.

That both fell straight down, and didn't topple over.

That the one that was hit 2nd, and at a weaker angle, with more of the jet fuel passing through and out the windows, fell first.

That the support columns simply crumbled, rather than stayed in place to some degree.

That jet fuel melts steel somehow.

    Things like that.

  9. I wondered about the direction they fell too. I think dripdry was trying to say "what are the odds that they would collapse vertically?" It could have been a lot worse had they toppled in any other direction.

  10. I think the odds that they would fall straight down, with no remains of the support column staying up, is astronomical.
