Isn't getting your account jacked something to worry about in itself?

I had mine for a little over two years without a problem until now. You're one of the lucky ones.

Might sound like a lot of work but it isn't, and I like being instantly paid after an auction ends, I like paying people the day an auction is over so I get my item quicker, and I like to be able to send and receive money between friends in case of an emergency. It's a good system, just don't forget that, much like everything else in the world, people are dicks.
That's what I like about PayPal as well. After everything is fixed I might just get a 2nd bank account w/ no credit card access. That's a big maybe.

I went to my bank right after I hung up the phone with a PayPal rep. The process of refunding my money through Washington Mutual will be much faster than with PayPal.

Yes but if you dont give your password or fall for those fake emails or have an easy password such as "heart", "qwert", "flower", etc. than you shall have nothing to worry about.

I did that, and it didn't seem to work for me.

  5. I have yet to run into any issues with PayPal and I can't see any reason I would. However I may set up a second account just for the peace of mind it's worth. Still I think you guys need to lay off the PP hate, it's not like they're responsible (for the most part) for scammers and cons alike. All they do is provide a service to pay for things easier and faster than the alternatives. They aren't responsible for some asshole claiming you didn't send something, using a stolen credit card, or many other of the trillion scams people use. Nor are they responsible for retrieving your money after an item fails to arrive.
