Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II

Who else is excited? I read the recent article/interview in Play and I am now more excited than ever. The first was amazing, and I can't wait for the sequel.

I had a blast with the first one, playing through once with my brother, and again with my girlfriend. If ever there was a game deserving a sequel and a ton of new content, it's this one.

It's release was so far away, I just sort-of forgot about it, expecting to get excited again when it came out.

I'm really hoping it's a lot longer than the first one. DA was a superb Gauntlet successor (since they seem to have no interest in anything but rereleasing Dark Legacy a dozen times), just too short.

Heh, I too played it with my brother and it was truly a joy. Probably one of my favorite American developed games of all time. It's like Gauntlet in 3d, yet somehow...... done correctly. (As opposed to the actual 3D Gauntlet titles)

I am over the top excited about this. No time to read that article at the mo, so I'll ask it: Is this going to be four player? This is also one game that I KNOW will be best served on XBOX.

if i read the article right it sounds like its going to have online multiplayer if so ill get the PS2 rev then (no Xbox live) so i can play online with people

Cool. I just found that if you pre-order from the Interplay store (the one found on the official website posted above) you get a bpnus DVD with tons of cool stuff:

Well I'm not excited but I'm definately going to play it. I loved the first game and hopefully this one will be just as good(I'm sure it will be).

Anyone know if this game is gonna be around the same length as the first? I'd rather just be able to rent this and beat it like the first.

I'm not looking forward to this official sequel quite as much as Snowblind's Champions of Norrath (which is based on Everquest, yet is a sequel to BG: DA in its own right). That game seems to be getting the brunt of the improvements, upgrades, and whatnot, while DA2 seems to just be new content with the old engine. I can't predict which will have a better storyline/scenario, but who plays dungeon crawlers for those?

Well, We loved original DA game. Man, it was fun to play it co-op with DJ, with him taking over the fighter, and me kicking mosters asses with Elf magic Sure it was on the short side, but it didnt made it any less fun. I was always been a huge fan of Diablo like games, and DA really captured that feel.

As for the sequel and Champions of Norrath game, I am excited about them both. Pics and movies I saw show plenty of action, cool sfx, lots of monsters to slay and same fun gameplay as in the first.

Have you seen the Dorn trailer for DA2? Its pretty funny.
