Ludacris "Potion" - great song. I don't understand people who think nothing creative is happening in mass-market hip hop.

Never heard that song before. And I'm one of those people who thinks mainstream rap is going really downhill. I don't find that there's nothing creative, but it's always more of the same. Because of that now, to alot of people, rap is synonym to gold teeth, cars, dubs, bitches and tricks, bills, etc etc.

Still, if it sounds good I won't mind listening to it since there's a plethora of underground hip hop that I could be paying attention to.

Because one artist admist 100 or so dosen't really help.

Sure, for every Ludacris and Kanye West, there's at least 10 rappers who rep the "thugged out" lifestyle.

Hell, G Unit has two seperate singles out, for two different artists, and you pretty much can't even tell the difference, lyrically.

I think one is about banging hos, while the other is about how much money he is, I think that's the difference.

Not to mention that new Big Timers song... "I'm rich, bitch, I'm a real big timer!!" Yea, there's some creative juices there. And Jay-Z teaming up with Linkin Park? Ugh, just stay retired man, you're tarnishing your image.

Hey you spelled it Timers, and thats not their bag. They spell it Tymers, because they are stupid morons.

SNAP! It's true, and I also can't stand artists now with LiL' in their names. And Roufuss said it right, there's like one out of 100 good mainstream artists. I think the best example of a good band who got really bad was Whack Eyed Peas.
