Every time someone who has otherwise awesome taste trashes it, I feel compelled to watch it again and every time it's like... nope. Still love it.
    I am a sucker for movies that use their soundtracks well. Vanilla sky did an amazing job. (I think Darjeeling did an amazing job with that as well.)

    I really love Hidden Fortress. Also, Throne of Blood is really, really fucking amazing. Probably my second favorite of his films. Maybe even interchangeable with Rashomon.

  9. enemy at the gates was an average movie at best.

  10. Not simply an average movie; one of my favorites this decade.

    It was the sniper aspect that won me over. Take that away and you're left with a dime-a-dozen war film.
